Year 2002 - "Youth Prize" - Portugal’s Olympic Committee (COP). 23 July 2002 - was distinguished by the executive meeting of Madeira in the Council of Government (GR), for the European Men’s Singles cadet title conquered in Moscow. 24 July 2002 – Madeira’s Table Tennis Association (ATMM) - Pays tribute to the crowned European Men’s Singles champion. 24 July 2002 - Regional Assembly (ARL) - Pays tribute to the European Men’s Singles champion in cadets. 29 July 2002 – Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM) exhausted a vote of praise and recognition for the European Men’s Singles title at the 45th European championships. 10 February 2003 - "Racket of the Year" - annual prize awarded by the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM). 06 June 2003 – The Government Council welcomes the national champions in the season 2002/2003. July 2003 - Madeira’s Table Tennis Association (ATMM) – Vote of prise for the European Men’s Doubles junior title. 01 January 2004 – “Sportman of the Year "- The 15-year-old Marcos Freitas was awarded the Madeira Sportsman of the year award for 2003, this time on a shared basis with the brilliant midfielder Ronaldo from Manchester United. 06 April 2004 - was the Portuguese player elected, from all male athletes appointed by the Portugal’s Olympic Committee (COP) and the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM) to be present in the Olympic Games Athens'2004. July 2004 - Government Council - Vote of praise and a public recognition for the European Men’s junior Doubles title. July 2004 – Madeira’s Table Tennis Association (ATMM) - Pays tribute to the European Men’s junior Doubles. 26 July 2004 - Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM) - Vote of praise to the athlete who have exalted aloud the name of the island of Madeira (Portugal) with the conquest of the European Men’s Doubles title. 20 November 2004 – “Sports Gala” – Portugal’s Sports Confederation (CDP) gives to table tennis players Marcos Freitas and Tiago Apolónia prize and distinction. 04 June 2005 - " Sport Awards" – The Madeira daily news (DN) and Madeira television (RTPM), dstinguished him as the best regional player in Table Tennis. 28 July 2005 - Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM) gave a vote of praise to the athlete for the European gold medal at the Men’s junior Doubles and Mixed junior Doubles. July 2005 – Regional Government (GR) - vote of praise to the athlete, who exalted aloud the name of the island of Madeira - gold medal at the Mixed Doubles and at the Men’s Doubles competition. July 2005 - Madeira’s Table Tennis Association (ATMM) - Pays tribute to the player - gold medal at European men's junior doubles and European mixed junior doubles. 05/06/2005 to 08/06/2005 - Godfather and participated in the opening and closing ceremony of the Center of Support of Funchal (CAP), Regional Special Education and Rehabilitation of Madeira in the 13rd Special games of Madeira. 10 November 2005 – 10th Sports Gala - The Portugal’s Sports Confederation (CDP) distinguished for the second consecutive year the athlete with a praise and recognition for the UNIQUE PERFORMANCE and HIGH SPORTS MERITS. (Ambition, determination and character). 03 May 2006 - Godfather of Campanário secondary school in the Sport School parade. 02 August 2006 - (CDSR) - homage to the club’s player for the European Men’s Singles Junior title and the bronze medal in the Men’s Doubles, succeeded in Sarajevo. 08 August 2006 - Homage and award at the town hall of Funchal - Town hall of Funchal (CMF), Madeira’s Table Tennis Association (ATMM) and the Secondary School of Campanário for the historic achievement reached by the athlete. 11 August 2006 - Regional Government (GR) - Pays tribute to the European Men’s Singles junior champion. 28 December 2006 - "Athlete of the Year" - Amateur events, Daily News (DN). 16 November 2006 -. 11th Sports Gala - "Merit Award and sports personality of the Year" - Portugal’s Sports Confederation (CDP) on a proposal from the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM). 17 December 2006 - The Government Council of the Autonomous Region of Madeira approved a vote of praise to the athlete. 02 January 2007 - "Best Athlete of Always" - 4th place in the contest of the Daily News of Madeira (DN). 04 July 2007 - 1st Merit Member - Madeira's Table Tennis Association (ATMM). 11 June 2008 - Several entities homages the athlete by the recent Olympic qualification Beijing'2008. 12 June 2008 - Town hall of Câmara de Lobos (player's hometown) approves a vote of praise for the Olympic qualification. 21 June 2008 – Madeira’s Table Tennis Association (ATMM) pays tribute to the young player for the Olympic qualification. 08 July 2008 - Olympic Greetings to the Prime Minister, José Sócrates. 08 July 2008 - Public Presentation of the Olympic Mission in Lisbon. 09 July 2008 - Merit Member - Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM). 09 July 2008 - Olympic Greetings to the Republic President, Cavaco Silva. 10 July 2008 - Olympic Greetings to the Parliament President, Jaime Gama 16 October 2008 - Gold Council Medal and tribute in the Town Hall of Câmara de Lobos, by the Island of Madeira’s president, dr.
