The Polish Open which starts in Warsaw on Wednesday 10th November and ends on Sunday 14th November concludes the open international tournament calendar on the ITTF Pro Tour for 2010. The international Portuguese player Marcos Freitas TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen ranked number 60 of World, is already in Poland to participate in the Polish Open. It will be the seventh time the Polish Open has been part of the ITTF Pro Tour, the first appearance being in 2000. Also, it will be 197th open international tournament on the ITTF Pro Tour since the programme began in 1996; the number reflects a definite fact, a healthy state of affairs. The total number of entries stands at 321, of which 144 are competing in the Under 21 events; 92 in the Under 21 Men’s Singles and 52 in the Under 21 Women’s Singles. The Portuguese is already in the Main Draw and tomorrow Friday 12th November is going to disput the Men’s Singles and the Men’s Doubles event. In the doubles competition he is going to play whit Croatia’s Andrej Gacina world raking number 66.

TTF LIEBHERR Ochsenhausen won today TSV Gräfeling with 3:0 under the watchful eyes of 1.200 spectators including many children and that made the meeting very pleasant. The absence of the opposing team’s top player Kamal Sharath Achanta, was remarkable and contributed in part to a favorable outcome to the Ochsenhausen team after 80 minutes of match. This game regards the German League and was played at Ochsenhausen’s home (Germany).

With this victory TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen keeps the second place at German League’s table.
The next meeting will be played on 28th November at 2:00 pm (local time), against the SV Werder Bremen, currently fourth palce at Germany’s League.

Marcos Freitas team TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen won today Tuesday November 2nd the SV Plüderhausen by 3:2 in the game regarding the Germany’s Cup. It was a tightly fought as both teams were eager to qualify for the Final Four, an event of great prominence in table tennis in Germany. Marcos had an excellent performance since he won the two matches he played, first against the Asian Leung and later in the doubles game that gave the victory to Ochsenhausen, playing with his country colleague the Portuguese Tiago Apolónia. Before 240 spectators and after three hours has been found the victorious team to play the Final Four of the Germany’s Cup on 2nd January 2011 at 12:00pm at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart (Germany). The fourth team will be the winner of the match between the TTC RS Maberzell Fulda vs SV Werder Bremen, next Thursday, 4th November.

Portugal’s Marcos Freitas (TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen) ranked 56 of the World participate in the Austrian Open, an event which takes place from 20 to 24th October 2010 in the city of Wels, was moved away from the men’s singles competition. Marcos had a great performance and won Czech Republic’s Dimitrij Prokopcov, number 53 by 4-2. In the Round of 32 the Portuguese player from the idilic island of Madeira lost with 2-4 but had a good performance and fought against one of the best players in the world, Japan’s Jun Mizutani, ranking number 10 in the world, and also made the match difficult to his opponent since he won two sets and tied the game at 2-2.
On the other hand in the Men’s Doubles event the pair formed by the Portuguese Marcos Freitas and the Croatian Andrej Gacina, won Equator’s Ivan Provan / Dino Suarez by lack of attendence (WO). Later they beat Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson / Mattias Karlsson with 3-1. In the Round of 16 they lost to Iraqi’s Mohammadreza Akhlaghpassand / Nima Alamjan by 1-3 and were eliminated from the competition.

The international Portuguese player Marcos Freitas (TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen) World ranked number 56, is already in Austria to participate in the Liebherr 2010 Austria Open – ITTF Pro Tour, an event that will take place from 20 to 24th October in the city of Wels. The athlete will participate in the Men’s Singles and in the Men’s Doubles event. This competition is the penultimate stage of the Professional Circuit from ITTF and will count for the athletes Ranking.

TTF Liebher Ochsenhausen lost today against Borussia Düsseldorf by 1:3. This game counted for the 1st German League and was held at Ochsenhausen’s home (Germany). Despite the defeat by 1:3, Marcos was at the center of an exciting game of a five games duel against Europe’s Top player and currently number two in the world ranking, Germany’s Timo Boll. Marcos put the hall in tenterhooks and fought point by point as shown the margins of the match. The game was 2:2 and in the third set after a fascinating duel the Portuguese lost with 15-17 but in the next game he gave the perfect answer beating the German by 11-7. In the fifth and last set Marcos was always in the lead until 10-9 he was at one ball to win the match, but ended up losing by 12-14. Is also worth mentioning the excellent performance of another Portuguese player who plays at Ochsenhausen, Tiago Apolónia, who beat Germany’s Christian Süss with 3:2 and gave the honor point to his team.

On Sunday 31 October at 2:00 PM (local time) Ochsenhausen will meet TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau currently third place at the German League.

Ochsenhausen beat today Saarbrucken with 3:1. This match regards the 1st German League and was played in the Ochsenhausen’s home (Germany).

Next Friday 16th October at 8:00 PM (local time), Ochsenhausen will disput one more match at his home, this time against Borussia Dusseldorf, currently second place at German League.
